Katie Callahan is a rare Nashville native with animation art school, advanced training, and 6+ years industry experience including:
motion graphics for broadcast media (major market television station newsroom)
3D animation for major brand client advertising, training and corporate communications videos
puppet-based 2D animation for children’s education publisher
animated graphics for social media content clients
storyboard and editing/composite work
music videos
She is an Emmy-nominated animator with a passion for making things move. She thrives in creative work environments, in-person and remotely. She has proven experience seeing projects through start-to-finish from pre-production to finals, and has also been hired for specific expertise roles.
Katie was the founding Chair of Animation Mentor’s Chapter of Women in Animation. Her music background includes percussion performance, with specialization in the marimba.
When she’s not animating, you can find her gaming (Big LoZ/Nintendo fan), watching movies or binging series, kayaking, out by a bonfire, or cooking/baking. Drink preferences include iced coffee and basically any kind of tea.
